PYE Homes are planning a development of around 70 homes next to the boundary of Heyford Park.
They are currently seeking feedback on their proposal without currently submitting any formal planning application.
PYE Homes have developments throughout Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and Sussex.
As the plans are on a greenfield site they are likely to cause opposition from Upper Heyford Parish Council who have previously stated the Local Plan “should minimize, or eliminate the need to build on the green field sites adjacent to Heyford Park”. However Cherwell District Council has previously stated this land has the capacity to provide approximately 111 homes.
PYE Homes say the 70 new homes will be in a small, well designed development with a new landscaped public open space. They intent to retain the existing hedgerows and 40% of the homes would be affordable.
